Tropic Gold — Yunnan Black Tea
Dian Hong (滇红) from Fengqing county, Yunnan. Fengqing sits in the Nujiang River valley at elevation, where large-leaf Yunnan tea trees have grown for centuries. The large-leaf cultivar (大叶种) produces black teas with a natural sweetness and body you don’t find in smaller-leaf varieties — full, warm, and forgiving to brew.
Tropic Gold is TeaBelly’s everyday Dian Hong. We selected it specifically for its clean malt backbone, natural honey sweetness, and versatility. It works gongfu, western, or cold brewed. The 100g loose leaf format is ideal for daily home brewing or sharing.
