This is the flower of the Camellia sinensis plant, the same plant behind all true tea, brewed as a caffeine-free tisane. It is not a flavored tea or a blended herbal mix. It is the flower of tea itself, and it has a character of its own.

What It Is

Tea plants bloom once a year, usually in autumn. The flowers are small, white, and softly fragrant, close to a small gardenia. Dried, they make a tisane that carries no caffeine, since the caffeine concentrates in the leaf rather than the flower.

Flavor Profile

Light, soft, and gently sweet. Expect faint floral notes, clean rather than perfumed. The brew pours pale gold and clear. It does not have the depth of a brewed leaf, but it has a quiet elegance that suits the evening.

Why We Chose This

Finding a caffeine-free option that meets the same standards as our tea line is harder than it sounds. Most tisanes have nothing to do with Camellia sinensis. The tea flower grows on the same plant we already source from. It fits our single-origin approach, needs no added flavoring, and works on its own.

How to Brew

MethodWater TempAmountSteep Time
Western85–95°C3–5 flowers per 200ml2–3 min or to your strength
Gongfu85–95°C5–8 flowers per 100mlTo your strength
Cold BrewCold8–10 flowers per 500ml24–72 hours

Skip the boiling water. It flattens the delicate floral notes, and a lower temperature keeps the character of the flower.
